We’re all pumped to see Halle Bailey play Disney’s star mermaid in the live action remake of The Little Mermaid, but before we’re given that gift, we should really revisit the adored animated version. And what better way to do it than at a free screening in Sydney Park?
Running as part of LGBTQIA film festival Queer Screen Film Fest, this family-friendly screening will be popping up in the Inner West park along with a barbeque (no lobsters, please) and under the sea-themed face painting. It’s 30 years since the mermaid-meets-man love story was originally released, but we’re sure fans of all ages will still be singing along to ‘Kiss the Girl’ and ‘Part of Your World’ at this cute community movie day.
The seaworthy adventure will kick off at midday at the Village Green entry off the Princess Highway.
