Sydney Comedy Festival has over 200 shows this year, so we’ve gathered up a few of the top UK comedians gracing Sydney stages to help you choose. Unlike Brexit negotiations, these three will be sure to leave you in a good mood…
Leo Reich at Factory Theatre
When: Wednesday April 26
Young up-and-coming comedian Leo Reich is making waves in the comedy scene, most recently as a Best Newcomer nominee at the 2022 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. His long-awaited show Literally Who Cares!? asks the big, important questions including “Am I hot?”, “Is this helping?” and “No offence guys, but literally what is going on?”.
Josie Long at Factory Theatre
When: Saturday April 29 & Sunday April 30
Triple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Josie Long is back with Re-enchantment, a show about the changes wrought by time and loving the world under what could be called difficult circumstances. You can expect an hour of stand-up threaded with compassion, humanity and probably some political rants.
Paul Foot at the Comedy Store
When: Saturday April 29 & Sunday, April 30
Multi-award-winning comedian and master of eccentricity Paul Foot returns to Sydney with a band new show. Swan Power sees Paul open his beak to give a severely abridged reenactment of the 1997 film Titanic and a potential solution to online trolls. Just don’t expect any mention of swans.
