Time Out says

Sydney Opera House knows how to put on a spectacular show and Slide Night! is one to watch out for in June. Now, don’t be fooled by the name. We’re not talking about the late-night slide into a special someone’s DMs. We’re talking about a hilarious journey down memory lane, before the age of Instagram or Snapchat, with award-winning host Rove McManus and an unpredictable cast of Australian comedians.

Kicking off on June 15, Slide Night! will see two teams face off in various games with old slides as the prompt of each ridiculously hilarious scenario. (For Gen Z, slides are little square photographs in a cardboard frame that are viewed by shining a light through them.) The team has scoured through attics and op shops across the country to find the weirdest and wackiest slides, which will set the stage for a night of hilarity you won’t forget.

Team captains and seasoned comedians Bridie Connell (We Interrupt This Broadcast, Tonightly with Tom Ballard, Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Rebecca De Unamuno (Just for Laughs Australia, The Chaser’s War on Everything, Kath and Kim) will be joined by a revolving cast of celebrity guests. Each night is a recipe for spontaneous laughs with fresh talent and varying games.

Tickets start at $45 and are available to book now. No two shows are the same, so you may even want to book more than once.
