Sydney-born Jim Jefferies isn't afraid to tackle the tough subjects: one clip from his 2014 Netflix special on America's relationship with guns seems to go viral every time there's a mass shooting in the US. Since then, Jefferies has become one of the most popular comedians in the world, thanks to a series of Netflix specials and his own late night Comedy Central talk show.
Despite those successes, he's come under fire for some material that's been called misogynistic. But Jefferies insists he's reformed, and in his Comedy Central show vowed to ditch the sexist jokes. He's wanting to use his platform to speak truth to power.
Jefferies sold 50,000 tickets on his last Australian tour, and did a series of intimate gigs around the country in February this year. But this show, The Night Talker, marks his first arena tour. It kicks off at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on December 6 and makes its way to the ICC Sydney Theatre on December 15.
Tickets are on sale Friday, September 14 at 11am.
