It's been raining for too long. It gets dark before six. It's "cold". These totally-normal-everywhere-else conditions are literally dark times for Sydney and the populace's frustration is beginning to show. Add technical issues into that, and you've got a whole lot of suffering. Which could explain the 1,700 Sydneysiders interested in attending the event 'Throwing my laptop off a cliff' at South Head park's 'The Gap' in Watsons Bay.
Why this destructive ritual? According to the event's creator "friccin sick of my laptop not werking, so im goin thrwo it of the clif. BBQ at 1 to commence the procedings. will provide sausages, but u'll hav 2 bring ur own bread" [sic]. Originally, the event suggested a kick-on at a friend's place, but in light of the event's surprising popularity, that suggestion has subsequently been edited to suggest kicking on that the Vivid Music closing party at our good time pub award winner, the Imperial Hotel.
Those concerned about the environmentally irresponsible aspects of this event will be pleased to know that a second party will be cleaning up after the first crew's mess.
Very good Sydney, as you were. We just have one question.
