As Pride Week was celebrated across America this weekend, and hundreds took to the dance-floor at Heaps Gay's party at Marrickville's Factory Theatre, the biggest mass-shooting in US history took place in a gay club in Orlando, leaving 50 dead and as many more wounded.
Local group Defend Safe Schools are holding a vigil for the victims of the Orlando shooting at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre at 7pm tonight (Monday June 13).
