You know what's better than clear blue skies on a 29 degree day? Drinking on a rooftop on a 29 degree day. And because Sydney deserves a treat, a brand new rooftop hideaway has opened, giving you a new perch where you can drink rosé on tap and eat oysters this summer.
The ground floor renovation of the Light Brigade has been properly worn in but it took a little longer to craft their lofty extension – a cocktail bar 83 meters above sea level, from which both the harbour and the city skyline are visible. They've even built a circular bar than fans around the open terrace so that there's views from every angle. Competition for those sunset seats is going to be fierce.
If no amount of SPF is going to save you from the UVs, you can retire to the 1920s-styled cocktail lounge. For evenings when you need more food than wine, you can head down to the first floor dining room. And because some things should never change: the public bar is still the domain of locals and sports fans readying themselves for next year's Sydney Swans season. Get amongst it.
