You know how all your friends are spending New Year's Eve in Far North Bondi Byron Bay, but you didn't get your act together in time, and now the entire town basically booked out? And even staying in a (very cute) van in someone's yard is $200 a night? But you also know you can still fly there and back for under $250, so you're kind of living in hope?
Well, all those good intentions you put out into the universe have been answered. A glamping Flash Camp has come to Byron Bay, and purveyors of all that is local, seasonal, organic and otherwise virtuously appetising, Harvest, are doing the catering.
The camp will have direct access to Tallow beach. Tents will feature real beds (because you deserve it) and decoration from hip interiors labels like Pony Rider and Armadillo and Co.
The camp is soft launching on December 11, and then Harvest will move in from December 18 through to January 14. They'll be providing proper coffee and a breakfast spread daily, plus cocktails, oysters and olives from their onsite bar and, some weekends, full dinner spreads.
Each Flash tent is five metres wide, and includes a bed, storage facilities, bamboo furniture and solar lighting. Shower and bathroom facilities are shared, but showers are private and lockable.
If you're after an entire party package, Harvest will be throwing a black-and-white New Years Eve party at their restaurant, and will be bussing guests from the Flash Camp to and from the site.
The Flash Camp will be hosted at Byron Bay Holiday Park from December 11 to January 14. 5-37 Broken Head Rd, Byron Bay NSW 2481. Bookings here. Bookings for Harvest's New Year's Eve party here.
Fancy staying closer to Sydney? There's a pop-up glamping site in Manly this summer too.
