Oh Lorde! New Zealand pop queen Lorde will become the youngest artist to headline the Sydney Opera House Forecourt this November as part of the Opera House’s contemporary music program.
It comes off the back of her hugely anticipated second album Melodrama, set for release on June 16. No doubt she'll be unleashing tracks from the new album like 'Green Light' and 'Liability', as well as plenty of favourites from her debut album Pure Heroine, which she released at the age of just 16.
At Sydney Opera House, she’ll be performing in the same iconic spot as artists like the National, Florence and the Machine, Chet Faker, Tame Impala and Crowded House. Her Sydney dates are part of an Australian and New Zealand tour, which will see her perform in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.
The show will last four hours (including performances from special guests), it's all-ages and this will be her only Sydney performance.
It’s another win for Sydney Opera House, who yesterday announced two upcoming shows from London Grammar in September. It’s looking like an exciting spring for live music at the House.
Tickets are $114 and they're on sale to the general public at noon on Monday June 19.
