There's a good chance if you're reading this RN, you're already on your holiday break. Good for you. Why? Well other than going to all of the beaches, getting ready for Christmas and just hanging out, if you have the day off on December 23rd, you're in luck because cult Japanese treat joint Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart is making its Sydney debut, and you're invited.

The dairy delights will be landing in World Square Centre. Sydney is not the first city Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart stores have conquered. You'll also find them in Shanghai, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia.

They also recently opened a store in Melbourne and our associate editor Delima Shanti tells us they are pretty darn good. "These bad boys look like Portuguese tarts but so different. The base is a sweet shortcrust pastry and the cheese filling which is gently sweet, with a little pinch of salt, tastes different depending on whether you have it warm and fresh or after a stint in the fridge. I'm a warm tart gal."

Expect big queues for this one – the little baked goods have stirred up a bit of a frenzy each time they've opened so get in early if you want to get your mitts on one of Sydney's first cheese tarts.
