Bondi can feel pretty hectic after a full day in the heat and the waves, so if you’re not ready to quit looking at the big blue yet but also need refreshment, maybe some shade and an ice cold beer, head upstairs to Vue Bar. You want to make your transition from sand to verandah pretty early in the arvo if you want a shot at the seats right against the edge of this first floor deck. From here you can knock back a Mountain Goat summer ale or a fresh and floral Grant Burge chardonnay and let the tide lull you into a near meditative state. It’s a popular spot, and not huge, so it can get rowdy depending on the day, but the views are some of the best in the suburb so it’s worth it for the natural eye candy.
