Time Out says

The Longueville Hotel – or the Longy as it is affectionately dubbed – sits at the head of Longueville road, proudly ushering locals into the recently refurbed pub. Out the back a thick-trunked sprawling palm shades the wooden deck. The deck’s view is mostly obscured by trees and the local swimming pool, but the edges of the CBD’s skyline peak out from behind tall leafy gumtrees, reminding you that you that even though you’re in the ’burbs, you’re still just a few kilometres from the harbour. Take a seat out here at one of the nautical striped booths, or head back inside and perch yourself on a glossy wooden communal table. The bistro pumps out swanky mains like an Aylesbury duck maryland and dry-aged rib-eye steak, but given their restaurant price tags, we’ll stick with a burger. Said burger boasts a juicy wagyu patty, fried speck, fried onion rings and smoky paprika mayo. Throw in a basket of golden fries with a herb aioli and a Little Creatures pale ale and you have a near-perfect pub meal. They also do a mean, meaty nachos. Their wine list largely consists of South Australian offerings like the velvety Kangarilla Road shiraz, which you can get by the glass, carafe or bottle. Monday nights sees poker sharks descend, and Tuesday night trivia has the joint packed-out by 7pm. But you’ll find no matter which night you hit the Longy it’ll be filled with jolly locals, friendly staff and good food.
