Time Out says

The Burdekin is a skinny corner pub that has been guarding the entrance to Oxford Street since 1847. In addition to its regular roster of DJs pumping out house and party tunes, interspersed with drag queens doing spot numbers and the odd metal gig, this old-timer has added a rooftop bar to the mix. Standing five storeys up, this casual-chic watering hole is the only one of its kind on Oxford Street.

Take in sweeping views of Sydney’s main drag for queer partying, stretching out to Hyde Park and to the Domain as you sip on original cocktails by the likes of the Back Ally, the Slutty Mermaid and the Pink Flamingo. The Kiwi Mojito is a fresh spin on a classic quencher. If you need to fuel up before a night of pulling shapes on Oxford Street’s colourful dance floors, they’ve got you covered with dishes to share. Bite down on cheese and meat boards, hand-made burrata, truffle and parmesan fries or fill up on more substantial feeds like vegan pizzas and chicken schnittys.

Head up for chilled out catch ups, or book the whole rooftop for an exclusive event by contacting events@burdekin.com.au.

The Burdekin Rooftop is open Mondays to Thursdays 4pm-late, and noon-late on Friday and Saturday. The downstairs bar is open Friday to Sunday from 5pm til late.
