2016 is definitely the year of the Spritz, the Italian aperitif made with a citrus liqueur, sparkling wine and soda water. They're cropping up on cocktail menus all over the city, as well as enjoying individual fame as the star of pop-up bars and summer sessions. And now the Bellevue is dedicating their entire Saturday afternoon to long, fizzy, alcoholic refreshers with a dedicated menu of Spritz and twists for $12 a pop. You can get the classic Aperol Spritz, but for something a bit different they're also offering a Papple Spritz made with Pimm's, peach. apple cider and ginger ale; a Lady Elderflower made with elderflower liqueur, prosecco and soda; a Miss Mischief flavoured with vanilla liqueur, lemon juice, prosecco and ginger beer; or a Strawberry Blush made with Grand Marnier, pomegranate, sparkling rosé and soda.
