Time Out says

Redfern’s hip-hop bar opened in 2013, taking over the old London Tavern with vibrant wall art, playful cocktails and a passion for rhyming. It’s since become a go-to venue for open mic nights and rap battles; every week they have DJs, emcees and producers honing their craft at Rock the Block, with a jazz and ’70s night called the Jam Drop taking place each month.

They take their love of hip hop very seriously here, naming their American-style burgers and colourful cocktails after pioneers of the genre. A shot of Biggie Smalls is as ostentatious as its namesake – chocolate liquor, Baileys, marshmallow vodka, whipped cream and chocolate flakes – but the Long Island Ice-T is exactly what you’d expect. For the truly baller barside dinner, order the Death by Donut – two patties, cheese, bacon jam, hash brown, pickles, grilled onion and aioli, all held together by a cinnamon donut.
