They’ve given this beachfront pub a gentle makeover in recent months but at it’s heart it is still very much the same old reliable haunt. Pop in for a seat out on the enclosed terrace that faces onto Campbell Parade – you might not be able to see the shoreline, but the smell of salt is in the air. For quieter dining times stick to the middle of the hotel where the open kitchen faces the central bar, or if you fancy something a little more creative than a long cold schooner, the Curlewis Bar off to one side is where they make pub cocktails and frosé. They also host regular live music and have big screens up on the walls for watching football of every code.
