Time Out says

The Gaso is a late night port for many a Sydneysider disoriented by the high-energy hoo haa of Oxford Street on a Saturday. Downstairs is a low-lit hideout where you can sit around the full circumference of the deep timber bar that fills the room.

There’s nothing fancy about the set up here. Reschs, New, VB, Carlton, Four-Ex, Coopers and 5 Seeds cider are what you’ll be drinking in schooners and the fridge is filled with familiar friends like Corona, Heineken and Stella Artois.

Pull up a pew, order a beer, down some bourbon and chuck your spare change into the jukebox if you’re not into the hot hits playlist that can leap from Bruno Mars to Elvis without warning. Upstairs the vibe is less muted and the pool table, lounge packed corners and open air timber deck pulls a younger crowd of party animals.
