Monday: Toss the Boss & Free Karaoke
Toss the Boss for your dinner (food only). Get your meal for free if you call it correctly. And even if you lose, you can still enjoy free karaoke.
Beloved Surry Hills saloon the Forresters was a popular haunt event before its landmark refurb back in 2012. It simply keeps packing them in with a combo of great eats, local and imported beers on tap, cheap tinnies and cocktails, best shared in jug form. There are good things happening here all week long – check out the schedule below and get planning your next catch-up with mates. And don't forget: happy hour is every weekday, 4-6pm.

Fuel your brain with $15 schnitzels and look out for the Forries Bonus Jackpot, increasing by $50 each week until someone scoops it up. Hosted by Quiz Meisters.
Every Wednesday you can get a burger for just $10, with add-ons (double meats and cheese, onion rings, fries) for $5 – and pool is free from 5pm. Every second Wednesday the Forresters also hosts top-flight comedy acts from 7.30pm – entry is $10.
Live jazz from the James Ryan band and guests takes over level 2 at 8.30pm every Thursday, and entry is free. To match those blue notes, get a $15 classic New Orleans cocktail, such as a Boulevardier, Old Fashioned, Sazerac or Sidecar.
On Fridays and Saurdays cocktails are just $15 from 8-11pm. Don't forget your dancing shoes, as DJs spin tracks from 7pm.
Every third Sunday of the month from 11am at the Forresters brings Racks & Records – markets featuring independent fashion labels, jewellers, artists, and record labels. Vinyl DJs play during the day and restorative Bloody Marys are just $12.
