Mayfield Garden

Mayfield Garden is (fun fact) the biggest privately-owned cool climate garden in Australia, with the Hawkins Family having owned and operated it since 1984. Inspired by the opulent gardens found in Europe, Mayfield is situated 15 minutes from Oberon, and a two-and-a-half hour drive from Sydney, and is open to the public for general visits all year. The private Hawkins Family Garden however, is only open four times a year for each of their seasonal festivals, during which time visitors can explore the vast, normally closed-off grounds, where they can get lost in their huge English box maze, as well as uncover other garden secrets that are normally off limits to anyone but the family themselves.
