This sprawling 22-hectare reserve is a top-notch park for kids and teenagers, with a focus on adventurous play equipment and spaces. The playground has a tree house, huge swings, two long-distance flying foxes, an intricate climbing net and a towering steel slippery slide ready to swing, propel and soar kids every day. There’s also a miniature rock-climbing wall, practice netball rings and a bike track.
Skaters and BMXers can get their aerial and trick fix on the concrete half pipe. The fenced-off bowl has a U-shaped drop and is best suited to more advanced skaters and bikers. You’ll also find the nearby Kambah District playing fields, which host local soccer, baseball and rugby matches and encourage wellbeing through physical exercise.
Other facilities include gas/electric barbecues, plenty of picnic tables and a large carpark.
The park was once home to a historic homestead, with several old elements including a woolshed, a cottage (which is now the YMCA play school) and a steel Nissen hut still intact.
