Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation

Established in 2008 under the artistic directorship of Dr Gene Sherman AM, the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation is a private not-for-profit organisation championing research, education and exhibitions of significant and innovative contemporary art from Australia, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Exhibitions draw on the collection of Gene and Brian Sherman, long-term art patrons who previously ran Sherman Galleries and who as of 2015 have a collection of around 900 works, mainly Asian and Australian.
