[title]The Other Art Fair returns to Sydney with an expanded vision from Fair Director Laura Richardson centred on the theme ‘Making Art Fair’. The dynamic event program includes workshops, live art, Young Henrys on the bar, Three Blue Ducks grazing table and much more.
It’s a chance to meet and buy direct from 100+ of Australia’s most talented emerging artists, who have been chosen by a panel consisting of Ben Quilty, Roslyn Oxley, Leif Podjahsky and Amanda Love.
Artists include Bianca Beetson, Cathyann Coady, Tim Jones, Celeste Wrona, Joe Helmore, Mark Collis, Chocolate Einstein, Sarah Beetson, Kirsten Jackson, Martine Vanderspuy, Peter Cromer, Timothy Jones, Aubrey Comben, Paula do Prado and more.
Take a tour titled The Point of Art, run by Eleanor Gammell of Alain de Botton’s School of Life. Enjoy drinks by Young Henrys, Archie Rose and Urban Winery along with S’mores from Black Pantry Marshmallowists, and coffee from Espresso Di Manfredi. View a selection of short films hot off the international festival circuit, brought to you by the AFTRS.
On opening night, Nick Hernandez (aka Chocolate Einstein) will paint the outlines of a mural and invite guests to choose the colours to be applied using Winsor & Newtown Art Supplies. Eckersley’s Art and Craft will be showcasing popular colour-in designs throughout the weekend, which visitors can colour in and post to Eckersley’s Facebook page.
For your chance to walk away with a work from the winning artists, vote for your favourite in the People's Choice Award sponsored by Bresic Whitney, which has a cash prize of $5,000.
The Other Art Fair is offering Time Out readers a special early bird offer of 20 per cent off tickets. That means tickets to the Private View (on Thursday evening, October 27) are $20 instead of $25 and tickets to other days are $12 instead of $15.
