The APY Art Centre Collective draws together ten Indigenous art initiatives, including the seven art centres that facilitate and market the work of more than 500 Indigenous artists working in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands (APY lands).
In March 2018, the collective opened this artist owned gallery in Darlinghurst, making it the first of its kind in Australia. The gallery has a focus on ensuring emerging artists are connection with new and broader audiences, and showcases work across a broad range of practices including painting, traditional punu (wood) carving, weaving, textiles, new media and digital photography.
