Time Out says

In mid 2011, seven artists (Jess Cook, Jamie Gerlach, Chris Hancock, Michelle McCosker, Alasdair Nicol, Kali Reid, Matthew Venables) were given the keys to a large warehouse space at 107 Redfern Street, by the City of Sydney as part of their accommodation grants.

Their aim was to turn it into a creative hub for the area, accessible for local artists and the community. Over the following years they built a sound-proof performance space, a gallery, a cafe and bar, a workshop, and a permaculture garden on the roof.

107 Projects hosts exhibitions, live music, theatre, workshops and live drawing classes.
