Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), is a well-respected fixture of the internatonal film festival circuit. The 11-day festival attracts some big names and around 85,000 attendees to its premieres, screenings, galas and red carpet events.
Featuring the work of emerging and established filmmakers, ZFF presents films in a range of languages, but predominantly English and German.
This year's big names include actors Ewan McGregor, Uma Thurman, Hugh Grant, Woody Harrelson, Daniel Radcliffe and director Olivier Assayas.
As well as screenings, the festival has an exciting selection of talks and side-events including the ZFF Masters at Filmpodium and ZFF Talks at the Festival Centre. There’s also an International Film Music competition and the popular ZFF 72 competition, where entrants are given 72 hours to create a 72-second film clip.
The Zurich Film Festival Centre is on Sechseläutenplatz in front of the Opera House.
Screenings and ZFF events happen in and around Zurich's Bellevue area. Participating cinemas include: Kino Arthouse Le Paris, Kino Corso, Filmpodium and Arena Filmcity.
