Time Out says

With it's modern François-Xavier Bagnoud astronomical observatory and planet walk, contrasted with splendid Belle Epoque guesthouses and 18th century flour mills, St-Luc offers a romantic blend of the old and new. For those with stars in their eyes, the observatory's 60cm telescope provides amazing astronomical views. And St-Luc's picturesque location on the sunny side of  Val d'Anniviers (Eifischtal) means there's plenty of daylight hours to enjoy the 6km-long planet trail walk that rises from 2141m to 2513 meters above sea level and is open year-round. In winter the town offers good access to the Chandolin ski slope and ski school, and there's natural ice skating on the lake. During summer you'll find plenty of hiking trails, a bike park, tennis and climbing.
