This circus sets up its big top on the Plaine de Plainpalais in the run up to Christmas. Among the roster of talented artists are tightrope walkers, pole dancers, trapeze acrobats, jugglers and a magician, whose feats of physical and mental superiority are accompanied by music from a live orchestra and a troupe of dancing girls. Unlike other countries where performing animals are frowned upon, there’s no such taboo in Switzerland and thus this circus also features a caravan of camels, performing dogs and – most impressively given feline capriciousness – some surprisingly well-trained cats. Come to one of the company’s regular dîner spectacles and you can watch fire eaters and hula hoopers while tucking into a four course dinner served by the artists.
