Don your finest Father Christmas outfit and join fun-runners for this increasingly popular annual race through the streets of Lausanne’s Old Town on a Saturday evening. A proper family event, there are several races of varying lengths throughout the evening, starting with an under tens race at 7.15pm and ending with a 7.2km ‘elite’ race kicking off at 11pm for those adult runners who take things far too seriously to wear a Santa suit. Costumed runners take off at 8.45pm shortly after the judging for the night’s best festive outfit. The atmosphere throughout is appropriately jolly, with food and vin chaud stalls in Place de la Riponne, where the races begin and end.
