The impossibly turquoise waters of Lake Brienz are a spectacle at any time of year, but in autumn the setting becomes even more impressive thanks to the radiant autumn foliage lining the shores and spreading out far beyond. The best place to see these breath-taking scenes is from the water, so hop in a kayak and glide out towards those magnificent vistas, all framed by soaring mountains.

Soak up an unrivalled view of the Bernese Oberland from a staggering 2,350 metres above sea level, reached by a hike up to the peak of this much-loved mountain. It’s an occasionally steep but rewarding journey, and you’ll be passing by verdant meadows and lazy green fields as you trek.
