Pile of Books

It's mad enough to open a bookshop nowadays, but to open an English bookshop on a small side street in one of Zurich's quieter quarters will be considered pure lunacy by many. However, former social worker Daniel Nufer's Pile of Books has been running since 2007. He stocks up mainly on what he likes and is happy to convince visitors of his latest finds in literature – and those enjoyable conversations before the actual read make any book you buy a better experience.
