It’s practically impossible to walk past this artisan chocolate shop without going in, such are the enticing window displays and the rich cocoa smell wafting from the doorway. Inside, you can buy chocolate slabs by weight from a selection of dark, milk and white varieties (the white chocolate with red fruit is massively addictive) or compile yourself a box of individual truffles, pralines and chocolate-covered preserved fruits from the counter. As if that wasn’t enough temptation, Blondel also serves extremely good homemade chocolate ice cream from a stall outside.
