The Schwellenmätteli comprises three riverfront eateries, all with stunning views of the River Aare up to Bern Minster. So take your pick! There's Ristorante Casa for Italian classics, Restaurant Terrasse which, as the name suggests, is situated on sun decks right on the banks of the river, and is perfect for coffee or a snack. Then there's the Fondue Hut - a rustic, wood-pannelled room that does a roaring trade on this traditional alpine dish during the winter months.
