Seerose is Zurich’s answer to Saint Tropez. Suspended above Lake Zurich, its wooden terrace complete with pristine white lounge furniture mimics the deck of a luxurious yacht. When the weather plays along, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were on the Mediterranean. The effect is heightened by the well-heeled clientele: Seerose has its own harbour, so the rich and beautiful can step straight off their sailing boats to wine and dine here. Service is suitably attentive, while the Mediterranean-inspired menu is seasonal and varied. Although it doesn’t come cheap, the food’s quality matches the prices. The trendy outdoor bar serves a range of drinks from grappa to wine and whisky.
