Time Out says

Philipp and Sandra Fuchs know how to make the Matterhorn taste good. The house speciality at their Bäckerei Fuchs, which has been family-run in Zermatt since 1965, are Kleinmatterhörnli – much smaller, chocolate replicas of the famous peak. The bakery in central Zermatt also produces typical Swiss delights – on site and by hand – including Birnenbrot (pear bread), Nusstorte (nut cake) and its own special recipe, Bergführerbrot (mountain-guide bread). This award-winning sweet bread, which Philipp created to give people something to take into the mountains for energy, contains fresh apples, figs and a little Schnapps. Stop by Fuchs for something to take home, or to while away some time over tea and cake after a strenuous day in the mountains.
