Opened in 2014, La Fourchette is the go-to address for straight-up French-inspired cuisine. Co-chef Claire Guerrier grew up in France and injects this flair into her simple but tasty recipes. All produce is seasonal, and where possible organic and sourced from local suppliers. Breakfast is served into the afternoon, with the brunch each Sunday a local favourite. But you won’t want to miss the homemade lunchtime options that change daily. There is also a fridge full of home-pressed juices. Design reflects this fresh philosophy in white tongue-and-groove panelling, a chalkboard menu and fur blankets. On Monday evenings, La Fourchette treats guests to its ‘Le Coup de Fourchette’ menu for CHF52 – it’s popular, so be sure to book ahead.
