Fribourger Fonduestübli

4 out of 5 stars
The Fonduestübli is all about this classic Swiss dish. It's been offering 'pur Vacherin' and 'moitié-moitié since 1975 and the cosy ambience is loved by locals.

Time Out says

Fondue it is, and nothing but fondue - though you can ask for a bit of saucisson as a starter. The Fonduestübli serves the classic Swiss dish in two versions, 'pur Vacherin' and 'moitié-moitié'. With its earthy decor and cosy ambience, it's loved by locals and at the same time embodies all the Swissness visitors from abroad might be looking for. Owner Denise Schmutz has been running this cheesy institution since 1975, and there is no sign of her planning on retirement anytime soon. Digest your melted feast with a treat from their long list of Swiss schnapps.
