A good choice if you want to be right in the centre of things, the imaginatively-named LHotel is located in Flon, a few metres from its converted warehouses filled with contemporary restaurants, bars and big brand shops, plus the unmissable expanse of Mad, Lausanne’s biggest club. LHotel fits in well with this thanks to its Friends bar, a lively nightspot good for cocktails, and the fantastic rooftop terrace which draws in drinkers in the summer months. Happily though, the hotel’s rooms are calm, soundproofed affairs with minimalist, predominantly white decor – a calm place to crash after a busy day and night out on the town.
