Les Urbaines

This free arts festival bills itself as a “laboratory for adventurous aesthetics”. In other words, it’s a showcase for experimental art, whether that be a music performance, a visual installation, a piece of interactive theatre, a promenade performance, a contemporary dance show or another artform that defies description. As well as Swiss artists, there's an international line up of performers. Their works cover a diverse range of topics - everything from a Lausanne bus driver's take on life to a piece commenting on the socio-political situation in Algeria. Best to go see for yourself.
