To celebrate the reopening of Basel's Hinterhof club, we're giving away two pairs of ticket to revellers eager to get their Christmas groove on. The venue's Block Party X-Mas Bash is on December 24 and features Goldfinger Brothers, DJ Bazooka and K-Rim.

Hinterhof is the multifunctional concert venue and club housed in a former storehouse on the edge of Gundeldinger quarters in Basel, first opened in March 2010 where it set a standard for cool underground clubbing in the city.

After extensive work to upgrade the venue, the club is now one of Switzerland's most sleek and atmospheric venues to dance all night to the best techno, house and electronic music around.

Volkshaus Basel is a brasserie, beer garden and bar with a handy location in Kleinbasel between the Basel Messe and the river. While the name might lead you to expect a traditional beer hall, the venue is a design attraction in its own right and far from folksy.
