University of Peradeniya

Dating back to 1942 the Peradeniya University is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of the country. Occupying 700 hectares of land with adjoining 130 hectares for staff quarters and other facilities, the university has produced some acclaimed leaders of the country. Set across the picturesque mountain range of Hantana, this is one of the most beautiful campuses to study at. The neatly manicured gardens and the wilderness of the woods at the vicinity takes the experience of both the visitors as well as the residents to a different level.
