October Fun

Dirndl is the Bavarian traditional dress for women that consists of a corseted dress featuring a white blouse, skirt and colourful aprons. You can even add a modern twist to the outfit with bright colours and fresh designs – try a navy blue bodice with tiny white polka dots, a black skirt and a white-and-blue striped apron. A dirndl is usually an eye catcher, but you can add little studs, a dainty necklace and a braided hairstyle.

The typical Oktoberfest outfit for men will have a button-up white or checked shirt, and leather shorts called Lederhosen with suspenders. If you want to take it up a notch, accessorise with hats, jackets and vests. As the festival is celebrated with the Bavarian flag colours of white and blue, you too can wear an outfit to match. Why not wear a blue checked shirt and leather breeches or chinos with desert boots.
