The drama, Mariyage Ramanaya questions the lifestyle of a woman living in the modern society, which is driven merely by consumerism. It portrays how people live in the fantasies created by the society that only focuses on the impermanent materialistic happiness. It questions human relationships formed on the basis of materialistic values.
A direction by Nadeeka Bandara, the drama features Jagath Jayasekara, Ruwan Rangay and Nadeeka Bandara. The music is by Ajith Kumarasiri.
