Also referred to as ‘Ehelepola Walauva’ the museum contains an array of archaeological, zoological, anthropological, geological findings and other historically significant items proudly exhibited throughout the halls of the building. Most of these displays are linked to the life in the Sabaragamuwa Province back in the days. Their exhibits also include preserved remains of various animals including deer, wildcats and birds among others. A very interesting destination, the Ratnapura Museum is a great place to visit for those who appreciate cultural and historical artefacts.
