This 200 year old heritage house was constructed by a minister of the Kandyan royal court. The ownership passed through many hands until recently when it was transformed to be a boutique hotel. Kandy House manages to retain the majesty passed on by its former Royal residents, while having plenty of modern amenities as well. The rooms bear interesting names like Indian Admiral, Black Rajah and Monkey Puzzle, those of Sri Lankan buttrerflies. Well-lit lobbies, infinity pool at the backyard and spacious rooms with a quaint touch make for a memorable stay at this heritage architectural house.
