The hotels in Singapore are each unique in their own way – and not everyone will resonate with the eclectic spirit of The Great Madras or the storied hallways of the Raffles Hotel. But what if we told you that maybe looking at your horoscope might just help? After all, each star sign is said to represent a certain set of personality traits and interests.

For a bit of fun, we analysed the stars and signs to put together this list. Thinking of which hotel you should book for your next staycation? Read on.

  • Chinatown

The meticulous, diligent and ever-ambitious Capricorn won't settle for anything less than the absolute best. This chic new hotel is great for both business and leisure – so the hardworking goats can treat themselves to the ultimate workation before chilling out at the swanky pool boasting a bird's eye view of the surrounding district.

Rebels at heart, Aquarians are known for their free-spirited and eccentric nature. This Wes Anderson-esque boutique hotel in Little India is quirky, colourful and unique – everything we love about Aquarians. The Grand Budapest Hotel is too mainstream for them, anyway.

Pisces: Ocean Suites
Pisces: Ocean Suites

The dreamy children of the zodiac, those born under the Pisces sign are brilliant, creative and deeply intuitive. Pisceans are hopeless romantics – so you can probably find them in the iconic Ocean Suites with their special person as they watch their marine friends swim by.

  • Things to do
  • Marina Bay
Aries: Marina Bay Sands
Aries: Marina Bay Sands

This fire sign is passionate, unapologetic and dynamic – everything we associate with the star-studded Marina Bay Sands. Both people born under the sign of Aries and Marina Bay Sands can always be found in the spotlight. And by that, we mean big-screen, romantic comedy-drama type attention.

Cancerians love to be the main character. Granted, they keep it kinda low-key. Hotel Fort Canning has all the makings of a film set. And when they get too deep in their feelings? The sensitive creatures can take a walk around Fort Canning Park with their favourite indie tune on blast, hoping to meet the love of their lives.

  • Raffles Place

Glamorous, self-confident and sometimes dramatic. Leos are synonymous with parties – and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is a classy hotel for these felines. Albeit, following social distancing rules that are in place. It's all glitz and glam – complete with jaw-dropping views of Marina Bay.

Virgo: Raffles Hotel Singapore
Virgo: Raffles Hotel Singapore

These intellectual creatures were born perfectionists. History, culture, literature, you name it. So Singapore's Grand Old Dame is the perfect representation of Virgo. Here, the devil is in the detail. After all, that is how the hotel ended up being one of the world's finest.

Libras set their standards high and are all about aesthetics – so a staycay at Duxton Reserve is fitting. The boutique hotel, designed by ex-Bond girl Anouska Hempel, drips with old-world glamour. You might just find the social creatures sipping on a cocktail at Anouska's Bar, dressed up to the nines.

Sagittarius: W Singapore - Sentosa Cove
Sagittarius: W Singapore - Sentosa Cove

Could we think of a crazier hotel than the W Singapore for the free-spirited, fun-loving archers? We think not. The hotel pulses with life, with beats thumping through the lobby, wacky interiors, and beautiful people parading around the pool. Even its lift walls are adorned with Prada leather. It's good vibes all around.
