Best family resorts near Singapore

1. Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket

There's no getting bored at Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket, not when it has its own adventure water park. Youngsters can easily spend a day floating along the lazy river, splashing about in the lagoon pools and play area, or zooming down waterslides – even leaping off a cliff jumping platform.

The resort is set right on Karon Beach – a much quieter beach compared to Patong – making for a leisurely family day out on the sand. Parents who need a little rest and relaxation can also book in at the award-winning Spa Cenvaree, which leans on traditional Thai techniques and locally grown herbs to craft holistic spa experiences.

2. Hilton Bali Resort

Hilton Bali Resort perches on a cliff overlooking Sawangan Beach and the vast Indian Ocean. Besides its undeniably beautiful location, this resort is beloved by families for its range of family-friendly amenities and services. For one, Hilton Bali Resort has four swimming pools and sand lagoons for kids to explore, with a 30-metre waterslide for hours of exhilarating fun. You can also sign the family up for some quality time at cooking classes, yoga sessions, and even water basketball.

Have kids aged four to 12? They will love Hilton's Kids Club, which offers a fun jungle adventure for kids. They can scale a climbing wall, jump their hearts out on a trampoline, or make new friends at the outdoor playground. Your kids will be in good hands, so go ahead and enjoy the resort's Mandara Spa in the meantime.

Desaru Coast is a mere 90-minute ferry ride from Singapore, making it a fantastic option for a quick family getaway. The Westin Desaru Coast Resort is a good jumping point for a host of activities: from thrilling rides and play zones at Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast to more leisurely swings at The Els Club Desaru Coast golf courses. Near the hotel is Dash Outdoors, a watersports centre where you can rent jetskis, kayaks, paddleboards and more.

The hotel itself is a tranquil haven set along the South China Sea. Rooms have spacious balconies and soaking tubs to accommodate whole families. You can also leave your little ones at the Kids Club, where they'll have a ball painting tote bags, learning the art of batik, crafting sea shell chimes, and more.

4. Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa

6. Club Med Kani, Maldives

Don't quote us, but the best way to spend quality time (without all the distractions) is to get everyone stuck on an island. The Maldives may be littered with "honeymoon suites", but if you're going with your family, Club Med Kani is a great resort destination.

The best part is the all-inclusive Club Med experience. Read: Accommodation, food, drinks, water activities, and entertainment are included. Whether you're on a snorkelling excursion over gorgeous coral gardens with your mum and dad or challenging yourself and picking up a new skill at the surf school, it's fun for the whole family.
