Time Out says

If you’re a foodie, you’ll definitely have heard of or been to the food fairs that take place every couple of months at Singapore EXPO. Well, good news: the 19th Edition of the World Food Fair (WFF), one of Singapore’s largest and longest-running food fairs, is back again at EXPO after its last stint in March. From July 4 to 7, expect more than 140 booths featuring freshly prepared dishes, as well as name-brand frozen foods and pre-packed delicacies to buy home.

A couple of new booths at WFF that you have to check out include Lailai Dining at booth D45 serving up Taiwanese delights. The $5.90 set features a bowl of braised pork rice and mee sua, the best of both worlds. Then, visit Dertien SG at booth D43 to try the massively popular street food known as ‘lok lok’. Buy 10 sticks and you’ll receive a free drink to wash down the meal. Coffee lovers can check out the home-grown brand Cheerful Goat at booth D05. Their iconic pocket coffee is a specialty instant coffee made of quality Arabica beans that dissolves quickly in most liquids, making it an ultra-portable cup of joe.

Tea lovers won’t be left out either. For the first time in Singapore, over 100 varieties of specialty Chinese tea will be available for sampling at the fair’s Tea Expo. You’ll get to observe the intricate tea brewing process and learn more about the flavours and health benefits of Chinese tea. There will also be a showcase of premium tea sets, and tea will even be served in the elegant white Dehua ceramics to enhance your drinking experience.

Admission is free, but you might find it worth the effort to be first in line because the first 250 visitors daily will receive a complimentary goodie bag. Other deals include Fragrance Bak Kwa’s Salted Egg Fish Skin going for just $0.50 instead of its usual retail price of $7.60. Spend at least $50 across three combined receipts to be included in the daily lucky draw to win air tickets for two to Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei or Tokyo.

The World Food Fair is only taking place for four short days, so make sure to head down and check it out while it’s here. For more information, check out the WFF’s official website or their Instagram @singaporefoodshows for daily updates on the event.
