Vesak Day celebrations have already begun at the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and will last until May 24. The Bathing Buddha Festival will take place from the 15th to the 17th day of the fourth lunar month (May 22 to 24) – to take part, visit the Hundred Dragons Hall between 9am and 4pm. You may also join in the celebrations for Prince Siddhartha’s birthday, which will take place from 7pm to 8.30pm in the Hundred Dragons Main Hall. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple will also be hanging 2000 Vesak prosperity lanterns between May 8 to 24. You may purchase one to add to the illuminations, or go for other auspicious offerings of flowers and vegetarian food.
