Another city that never sleeps, Singapore is home to a plethora of twilight venues that open till late and 'round the clock – and we're not just talking about thumping nightclubs and drinking dens. There is plenty to do in the city past midnight that does not involve drinking. Among the many activities, have a late-night supper at a prata joint, sing your lungs out at a KTV bar, explore the city in the moonlight by bike, shop till you drop at a colossal store, and more. If sleep is for the weak, spend your waking hours at these 24-hour joints.

While it's not open 24/7, K Star runs through the night until 4am. It brands itself as Singapore's "first themed karaoke bar", housing 25 rooms each vibrantly decorated according to different themes. With an all-yellow room adorned with plush toys that kids are sure to love, a tropical-themed room with flamingo wallpaper, and several rooms with faux-stained glass windows, it certainly lives up to its title. The Insta-friendly karaoke bar offers competitive room rates starting as low as $20 per hour on weekdays. Prices go up to $88 per hour for their panaroma room that has a capacity of 20.

Hop on your bicycle and whizz through the new 60km Rower’s Bay. It’s part of the first phase of the Round Island Route, a continuous 150km park connector that circles the island. Connecting Yishun to Punggol, the boardwalk allows you to see the city in the dark with the breeze in your hair as you zoom by the edge of the Seletar Reservoir. There’s also a lookout pavilion, swales and a wetland area for you to soak in all of mother nature come dusk. If you’re making your way to Seletar Aerospace Park, there are shelters with charging points as well as vending machines selling bike equipment and a self- help repair station, just in case your wheels decide to act up.

While in Orchard, make a pitstop at the wildly popular Japanese discount store. The two-storey megastore is stocked to the brim with fresh produce, kitschy items and loads of ramen straight out of the motherland. There’s also dedicated Hokkaido section, a standing bar and a huge snack section with all the munchies you’ll ever need.

As the largest prawning site in Singapore that spans the size of seven football fields, ORTO makes the perfect catch for your late-night supper.
