Sustainability Fest 2024 is all about looking towards a greener future. From March 9 to 17, the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is throwing a fun-packed festival to celebrate the advancements made in energy management.
The theme ‘Circles: Looping Towards A Sustainable Tomorrow’ is an appreciative nod to your commitment to sustainability. But it's all in good fun too, as the event is essentially a week-long carnival filled with eco tours, green craft workshops, and environmentally conscious activities.
You can expect exhibits that showcase SDC's green initiatives, including an interactive wall to pledge your commitment and an aura wall that determines your eco-warrior personality. There'll also be fun carnival games made from recyclable materials – a clever way to teach kids more about recycling and upcycling.
Both kids and adults alike are bound to enjoy the eco-blaster challenge that involves lots of foam and eco-friendly shooting targets. Make sure to set off on a self-guided tour that'll bring you around gardens and art murals. Not only will you find out more about SDC's initiatives, you'll also get to redeem a small prize after completing it.
But the sustainability efforts don't stop here. Join a Living Green Eco Tour to get a first-hand look at the herbs growing in the urban garden. You'll also plant your own microgreens, and as a keepsake, take home a living craft creation. This free tour is available from March 17 to June 30, and you can book your slot here.
Say no to plastic bags and wasteful single-use plastic, and head down to Sustainability Fest 2024 for a greener future.
